Kick Starts for Young Creative Writers - a 6-week course

Cost: members $65, non-members $70 for the 6-week course
Ages: 9 and older
This course is designed for upper elementary and middle school students, but students of other ages are welcome. This course will help reluctant writers learn how to use everyday objects as characters or plot builders, how to use music to help you get a feel for your character or scene, how to use history or current events to write fiction, and many other helpful tips. Ms. Cassity is the author/illustrator of the children's bedtime story book, Fiddlebug, and Clyde the Undead Dust Bunny, a middle grade chapter book. Ms. Cassity recently won the Best of Show award in the Monroe Arts Alliance Writing contest for her essay entitled, "The Year We Loved the Pear Tree."
