Neely Tucker, Washington Post writer and author of the best seller Love in the Driest Season: A Family Memoir, will be making an appearance at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, WV, on Saturday April 29, 2006 at 7 p.m.
Love in the Driest Season tells the true story of Tucker’s time in Africa as a journalist and how he and his wife bonded with and struggled to adopt an infant found abandoned in the African bush. Tucker’s appearance is the culmination of a day of presentations and forums and displays concerning adoption in Africa. These will include, an adoption forum at 2 p.m.and Adoption Agencies and Support Group Displays in the Old Stone Room from noon until 4 p.m.
