Guest Speakers at DYING TO WRITE 2011

Sherri Brake is the author of two books with The History Press.
Haunted Stark County Ohio & the Haunted History of the Ohio State
Reformatory. She has 26 years experience as a Paranormal
Investigator, instructs classes on ghosthunting, and has filmed &
consulted for the Travel Channel, The Discovery Channel, and SyFy. She
is a monthly columnist for West Virginia's largest independent
publication, Two- Lane Livin'. Sherri owns Haunted Heartland Tours, a
year round haunted history tour company she began in 2005.

Kerrie Cathcart is a police officer assigned to the Forensic
Investigation Unit at the Huntington Police Department specializing in
Crime Scene Investigation & Latent Print Examination. Kerrie holds a
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins
University, a Master of Science in Forensic Science, & a Master of
Science in Criminal Justice-both from Marshall University. Kerrie also
teaches graduate courses through MU's Forensic Science Master of
Science Program & serves as the lead instructor in classes within the
crime scene emphasis. She holds the International Association for
Identification Latent Print Examiner and Crime SceneAnalyst
certifications since2003 & has more than 11 years of field experience
in these disciplines.

Michael Knost is a Bram Stoker Award-winning author, editor, &
columnist of science fiction, fantasy, horror,& supernatural
thrillers. He has written many books in various genres, helmed
anthologies such as the bestselling series Legends of the Mountain
State. His Writers Workshop of Horror recently won the Black Quill and
Bram Stoker Awards for superior achievement in nonfiction. He has also
served as ghostwriter for several projects, including associations
with the Discovery Channel and Lionsgate Media. He is currently
writing a Mothman novel slated for release in 2011.
