Come take advantage of this opportunity to learn some fundamentals of playwriting, particularly the concept of adaptation. Ms. Battlo’s own plays (like Shakespeare’s) draw from history, philosophy, literature, and personal writings; she will demonstrate how to create plot and other elements of drama by adapting from sources.
Ms. Battlo will conduct a writing workshop and discussion at Pike View High School on March 31, 2006 and a workshop for the community at the Summit Theater in Bluefield on April 1. Participants will be able to see Ms. Battlo’s brand new adaptation of Don Quixote, presented an assembly at Pike View High School on March 31, or at the Summit Theater in Bluefield on April 1.
